    I watched it yesterday.
    haha... sorry macky for watching earlier than you did! =P

    It was pretty good but a lot of huge fans were disappointed.
    aww... man. I really don't like it when people give off bad ratings... I don't know why. I get discouraged when i see bad reviews about a movie that I like/love. hehe... maybe its a phobia. just talking about it gives me goosebumps. :| Oh well, thats how its supposed to be.

    Gah. so about the movie, the graphics are really colorful and its perfect for kids and kids at heart. its really surprising that they look exactly like the anime of course, without the epileptic dialog and dramatic expressions.

    Good

    :cookie: Good choice of actors/actresses
    :cookie: Plot was great.
    :cookie: RAIN is in it.

    Bad
    X It was too long.
    X A lot of senseless dialog.
    X Too much flashbacks.
    X Some scenes were a little lame.
    X The essence of the speed racer series is missing.

    OVERALL!
    I give it a 4/5. :star::star::star::star:
    I do recommend you still watch it on the big screen but its a rip off when you buy the dvd... I promise you, it'll give you a headache. =P

    critics are just too uptight sometimes, saw the movie too and i loved it, its all about the retro feel that the wachowskis envisioned and the kiddie fun that the original anime delivered so in that sense the movie stayed true to the original anime. they just made it a whole lot futuristic than the original

    Exactly! but thats what they do.
    Some people just really put up high expectations for movies such as speed racer. Its a cartoon for fuck's sake. haha

    I think the graphics are just nice. :heart: and I love dem Wachowski Bros.
